Romanian Industrial Output Recovers in September

Industrial production in Romania rose by 0.2% year-on-year in September 2025, rebounding from a 0.9% decline in the previous month.
Output in the manufacturing sector recovered, increasing by 0.5% after a 1.6% drop in August.
At the same time, activity fell at a softer pace in mining and quarrying (-1.1% vs -2.6%).
Meanwhile, output in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply was unchanged, following a 2.1% rise in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, industrial output rebounded by 1.1% in September, marking the first increase in four months, following a 1.9% decline in the preceding period.
