Industrial production in Romania fell 0.5% year-on-year in November 2025, following an upwardly revised 0.3% rise in the previous month.
Output declined further in manufacturing (-1.0% vs -0.3% in October), as activity decreased in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products, printing and reproduction of recorded media, other non-metallic mineral products, chemical products, basic metals, and electrical equipment.
Additionally, production in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply moderated (1.4% vs 6.0%).
On the other hand, mining and quarrying rebounded, rising 0.3% after a 4.1% drop in the previous month, driven by increased output of metal ores and slower decline in crude petroleum and natural gas and other mining and quarrying.
On a monthly basis, industrial output decreased 0.7% in November, reversing an upwardly revised 0.5% rise in the preceding period.
