The annual inflation rate in Poland accelerated to 3.0% year-on-year in July 2026 from 2.5% in the previous month, according to preliminary estimates.
The increase was mainly driven by faster price growth for fuels and lubricants for private means of transport (15.8%), while inflation for electricity, gas, and other fuels also accelerated to 4.0%.
Meanwhile, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages declined by 0.4%.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.8% in July, rebounding from a 0.5% decline in June and returning to growth after posting declines in the previous two months.
