Poland Industrial Output Growth Eases in July

Poland’s industrial output eased to 5.1% year-on-year in July 2026 from a downwardly revised 7.4% increase in the previous month, exceeding market expectations of 4.9%.
Production growth slowed in manufacturing (4.4% vs. 6.2% in June), driven largely by decreases in food (0.3% vs. 6.7%), wood, cork and wicker products (2.1% vs. 9.1%), paper and paper products (7.0% vs. 19.0%), and pharmaceutical products (1.6% vs. 11.5%).
At the same time, output moderated in mining and quarrying (18.5% vs. 28.4%), water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (7.4% vs. 14.5%), and electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (11.3% vs. 14.4%).
On a monthly basis, industrial production fell by 1.8% in July, following a downwardly revised 1.8% growth in the preceding period.
In the January–July period, industrial output was 3.6% higher than a year earlier.
