Norway Manufacturing Output Rises in November

Norway’s manufacturing production rose 2.4% month-over-month in November 2025, after an upwardly revised 1.3% decline in the previous month.
This was the largest monthly increase since April, largely driven by a rebound in output for refined petroleum, chemical, and pharmaceutical (4.6% vs -6.6% in October) and ships, boats, and oil platforms (4.6% vs -3.9%).
Increases were also observed in the production of food, beverage, and tobacco (0.9% vs 0%), fabricated metal products (2.4% vs 0.1%), computer and electrical equipment (2.8% vs 1%), and machinery and equipment (1.4% vs 0.4%).
Meanwhile, repair and installation of machinery fell 0.2%, reversing a 2.2% gain in the prior month.
On a yearly basis, manufacturing output grew 4.4% in November, following an upwardly revised 2.4% rise in October.
