The number of tourist arrivals in Montenegro rose by 4.4% year-on-year to an eleven-month high of 244,754 in July 2026, easing from a 5.8% increase in June.
Foreign visitors remained the primary source of arrivals, accounting for 92.3% of the total, or 225,824 arrivals, while domestic arrivals represented 7.7%, or 18,930.
Among foreign tourists, Europe continued to be the largest source region, accounting for 81.3% of arrivals, led by Serbia Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Kingdom, Russia, and Poland.
Outside Europe, which accounted for 18.7% of arrivals, the largest shares came from Israel, the United States, and China, including Hong Kong.
By type of accommodation, seaside resorts remained the most popular, accounting for 82.1% of arrivals, followed by the capital (9.4%), mountain resorts (5.3%), and other resorts (3.2%).
Meanwhile, overnight stays in collective accommodation totaled 1,081,249, with foreign visitors accounting for 91.6% and domestic visitors for 8.4%.
