Montenegro Tourist Arrivals Climb 5.8% in June

The number of tourist arrivals in Montenegro rose by 5.8% year-on-year to a ten-month high of 206,990 in June 2026, accelerating from 0.3% in the previous month.
Foreign visitors remained the primary source of arrivals, accounting for 91.4% of the total, or 189,266 arrivals, while domestic arrivals represented 8.6%, or 17,724.
Among foreign tourists, Europe continued to be the largest source region, contributing 78.8% of arrivals, led by Serbia, the United Kingdom, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Poland.
Outside Europe, the largest numbers of arrivals were recorded from Israel, the United States, and China (including Hong Kong).
By type of accommodation, seaside resorts remained the most popular area, accounting for 81.9% of arrivals, followed by the capital region (10.3%) and mountain resorts (4.7%).
Meanwhile, overnight stays in collective accommodation totaled 793,956, with foreign visitors accounting for 90.8% of stays and domestic tourists accounting for the remaining 9.2%.
