Mexico GDP Rebounds in Q1

The Mexican GDP expanded by 0.2% from the previous quarter in the first three months of 2025, trimming the 0.6% contraction in the earlier period and aligned with the preliminary estimate, remaining above the initial market expectation of a stall.
Growth was solely carried by a 7.8% surge in the output of primary activities, extending the 6.7% expansion in the earlier quarter.
On the other hand, slight contractions were noted for industry (-0.1% vs -1.3% in Q4 of 2024) and services (-0.1% vs 1.1%).
From the previous year, the Mexican GDP expanded by 0.8% in the first quarter.
