Mauritius Inflation Rate Ebbs to 3.7% in June

The annual inflation rate in Mauritius fell to 3.7% in June 2026 from a five-month high of 4.3% in the prior month.
Price growth moderated primarily for alcoholic beverages & tobacco (1.8% vs 9.3% in May); recreation & culture (2.3% vs 2.7%) and furnishings & household equipment (3.5% vs 3.9%).
At the same time, prices continued to fall for food & non-alcoholic beverages (-1.3% vs -2%) and information & communication (-1.5% vs -1.7%).
On a monthly basis, the CPI went up by 0.3% in June, slowing from a 0.8% increase in the month before.
