Ireland Industrial Production Accelerates in November

Industrial production in Ireland rose 12.7% year-on-year in November 2025, marking the fastest growth in three months and accelerating from a downwardly revised 7.4% increase in October. The gain was underpinned by stronger manufacturing output (11.7% vs 6.6% in October), led by robust growth in textiles, wearing apparel, and leather products (22.2% vs 2.2%). Looking at a broader timeframe, manufacturing production over the September–November period was 9.3% higher compared with the same three-month period in 2024. Output in the highly globalized modern sector, encompassing chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and computer and electronic products, posted a strong 11.3% year-on-year increase, while production in the more domestically oriented traditional sector rose 4.3%.

Industrial production in Ireland rose by 10.5% year-on-year in October 2025, easing modestly from an upwardly revised 11% increase in September. This was underpinned by a 9.2% gain in manufacturing output, largely reflecting strong growth in bakery and farinaceous products, wood and wood products, as well as electrical equipment. Looking at a broader timeframe, manufacturing production over the August–October period was 14.4% higher compared with the same three-month period in 2024. Over the same period, output in the highly globalised modern sector, encompassing chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and computer and electronic products, posted a robust 18.3% year-on-year increase. By contrast, production in the more domestically oriented traditional sector declined by 3.4%.

Industrial production in Ireland increased 10.3% year-on-year in September 2025, following a downwardly revised 23.8% surge in August. Manufacturing went up 9.5% and utilities output rose 6.3%. Meanwhile, production on the modern sector which includes the chemical, pharmaceutical, and computer & electronic sectors, jumped 12.3% while the output for the traditional sector declined 3.1%. Compared to the previous month, industrial output tumbled 9.4%, reversing a 9.5% jump in August.
