Ireland Property Prices Remain at Over 2-Year Low

Residential property prices increased 5.5% year-on-year in July 2026, easing from a 5.6% rise in the previous month and marking the lowest level since January 2024. House price growth eased to 3.7% from 3.9% in July, while apartment prices also eased to 6.8% from 7.0%. By region, annual property price growth in Dublin slowed to 4.4% from 4.6%, while prices outside the capital held steady at 6.4%. Within Dublin, the strongest growth was recorded in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown at 6.0%, up from 4.9% in the previous month, while Dublin City also slowed to 2.3% from 3.8%. Price levels continued to vary across regions, with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown recording the highest median dwelling price at €668,411, while the lowest was in Longford at €200,000. On a monthly basis, residential property prices rose 0.8% in August from 0.5% in the previous period and marking the highest increase since September 2025.
