Indonesia Tourist Arrivals Up 13.37% in February

Foreign tourist arrivals to Indonesia increased by 13.37% year-on-year to 1.16 million in February 2026, following a 1.11% rise in the previous month, underscoring strengthening momentum in inbound tourism.
Most visitors came from Malaysia (17.18%), China (13.01%), and Singapore (9.43%).
Air travel remained the primary mode of entry, accounting for 78.10% of all arrivals.
Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport and Banten’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport together received 691.22 thousand passengers, representing 88.32% of all air arrivals.
Arrivals by sea transportation reached 184.60 thousand, up 28.80% year-on-year, mainly at Batam and Tanjung Uban Ports in Kepulauan Riau.
Land entries totaled 34.84 thousand, increasing 19.02%, with most crossings occurring at Atambua in East Nusa Tenggara and Jayapura in Papua.
Monthly, international arrivals decreased by 2.42%.
For the January–February period, Indonesia recorded 2.35 million foreign visitors, representing a 7.77% rise from the same period a year ago.
