Finland’s industrial production rose by 2.3% year-on-year in October 2025, rebounding from a downwardly revised 1.5% drop in the previous month.
This marked the first expansion in industrial output after four consecutive months of contraction and the strongest growth since May, as production recovered for both gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (3.2% vs -1.1% in September) and manufacturing (2.3% vs -1.7%), driven by higher output in the manufacture of food products (1.7%), beverages (3.2%), and basic metals (2.5%).
Meanwhile, production growth for mining and quarrying decreased sharply (1.5% vs 28.3%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity grew by 2.4% in October, recovering from a downwardly revised 0.2% decline in the preceding period.
