Denmark Inflation Eases Further

Denmark’s annual inflation rate edged down to 0.7% in February 2026 from 0.8% in January, marking the lowest level since April 2024.
Price growth slowed mainly for food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.6% vs 3.8% in January), restaurants and hotels (1.3% vs 1.4%), and information and communication (3.1% vs 3.5%).
Housing and utility costs continued to fall, albeit at a softer pace (-0.9% vs -1.3%), while transportation costs declined further (-0.8% vs -0.2%).
On the other hand, inflation rose for leisure, sports, and culture (3.3% vs 1.9%) and personal care and miscellaneous goods and services (2.6% vs 2.4%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 1%, rebounding from a 0.6% drop in the previous month.
Core inflation, which excludes energy and unprocessed food, eased slightly to 1.8% in February, the lowest since May 2025, from 1.9% in January.
