Czechia Unemployment Rate Steady at 5%

The Czech Republic’s unemployment rate remained steady at 5% in September 2026, matching the rate recorded in each of the previous two months.
The number of unemployed decreased by 5,514 month-on-month but increased by 30,452 year-on-year to 368,377.
Women accounted for 54% of the total unemployed, while men accounted for 46%.
Meanwhile, 62,099 applicants left the records, 22,691 more than in the previous month and 11,107 more than in September 2025.
A total of 45,568 applicants found new jobs during the month.
At the end of September, employment offices registered 24,446 school graduates and young people, accounting for 6.6% of total unemployment, up from 4.8% in August but down from 6.9% a year earlier.
Job vacancies rose by 5,085 to 104,359.
