Czech Republic Industrial Output Rises Unexpectedly

Industrial production in the Czech Republic rose by 0.4% year-on-year in September 2025, rebounding from a 1.3% fall in the previous month and defying market expectations of a 0.2% drop.
Manufacturing output showed a recovery, increasing 1.7% compared with a 1.7% fall in August, driven by higher production in metal structures and products, rubber and plastic products, and electrical equipment.
In contrast, output continued to decline for mining and quarrying (-19.3% vs -12.6%), while it slipped for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-9.2% vs -5.8%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity increased by 1.1% in September, rebounding from a 1.1% drop in the prior month.
