Construction output in the Czech Republic increased by 7.1% year-on-year in October 2025, slowing from an upwardly revised 13.1% gain in the previous month.
It marked the weakest growth since April, primarily due to a notable slowdown in both civil engineering works (3.3% vs 13.5% in September) and building constructions (9.6% vs 12.8%).
The approximate value of building permits granted increased by 7.3% year-on-year in October, reaching CZK 46.6 billion, while the number of dwellings started soared by 34% to 3,457.
On a monthly basis, construction activity was 0.4% lower in October.
