Czech Construction Output Eases to 3-Month Low

Construction output in the Czech Republic increased by 10.1% year-on-year in July 2025, easing from the more than three-year high of 14% growth recorded in the previous month.
This marked the weakest expansion since April, primarily driven by slower growth in both building construction (9.2% vs 10.3% in June) and civil engineering (11.5% vs 20.3%).
The approximate value of building permits granted rose by 37.9% in July, reaching CZK 54.2 billion.
Meanwhile, the number of dwellings started fell by 9.2% to 2,628 in July, while the number of dwellings completed declined by 13.4% to 2,353.
On a monthly basis, construction output increased by 1%.
