Czechia Business Sentiment at 8-Month Low

The business confidence indicator in the Czech Republic decreased by 1.9 points to 98 in December 2025, following a 99.9 in the preceding month.
This marked the lowest level since April, as sentiment continued to deteriorate within the industry sector, which dropped to an eight-month low of 91.2 in December from 95.5 in November.
Industrial entrepreneurs’ expectations for production growth fell for the second consecutive month, while inventories rose slightly.
Similarly, outlook in the trade sector weakened further to 96.4 from 97.0, while optimism softened for selected services, falling to 103.1 from 105.6.
Conversely, confidence strengthened for the construction sector (117.6 vs 114.1 in November), with increases in the demand for construction work, employment, and service prices over the next three months.
