Croatia Current Account Deficit Widens in Q4

The current account deficit of Croatia widened to EUR 2,204 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from a deficit of EUR 2,140 million in the same period a year earlier, as most components showed improvements.
The services surplus rose to EUR 1,725 million from EUR 1,670 million a year earlier, while the goods deficit shrank to EUR 4,412 million from a deficit of EUR 4,520 million.
The secondary income surplus widened to EUR 588 million from EUR 215 million.
In contrast, the primary income balance shifted to a deficit of EUR 105 million from a surplus of EUR 495 million.
For the full year, Croatia posted a current account deficit of EUR 3,263 million in 2025, widening from a deficit of EUR 1,880 million in 2024.
