Colombia's industrial production rose 0.7% year-on-year in November 2025, marking the weakest expansion since April, slowing from a 1.9% increase in October and below expectations for a 1.9% expansion.
The slowdown was primarily driven by declines in beverage preparation (-3.3%), elaborate metal products (-12.8%), paper, cardboard and their products (-6.3%) and machinery and equipment (-13.3%).
In contrast, growth was supported by pharmaceutical and chemical products (12.5%), other transports (32.9%) and basic iron and steel industries (-12.6%).
Retail sales dropped by -0.4%, marking their first decline since April, and industrial employment rose to 0.9%.
