Colombia’s industrial production rose 5.2% year-on-year in September 2025, up from a 1.0% gain in August and above expectations of a 4% expansion.
Growth was mainly driven by the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals (13.8%), clothing (15.2%), non-metallic minerals (10.1%), other types of transport equipment (32.7%) and dairy products (12.1%).
In contrast, output declined in paper and paper products (-5.5%), sugar (-8.9%), and chemical products (-5.4%).
Real sales increased 5.3% from a year earlier, and industrial employment rose 0.8%.
