Colombia Consumer Confidence Hits 13-Month High

Colombia’s Consumer Confidence Index rose sharply to 13.6% in October 2025, up 12 percentage points from the prior month and reaching its highest level since September 2024.

The Consumer Expectations Index climbed 15.5 points, amid stronger optimism about households’ future conditions (41.7% vs 26.2%) and a rebound in expectations for the national economy (9.5% vs -6.3%) and the general outlook (3.1% vs -12.2%).

The Economic Conditions Index improved to 6.9% from 0.1%, supported by better assessments of current household finances (3.1% vs 0.5%) and a sharp recovery in willingness to purchase durable goods (10.8% vs -0.4%).

Year-on-year, overall confidence rose 17.3 percentage points.

Colombia Consumer Confidence Edged Up in February
Colombia's Consumer Confidence edged up to 18.3% in February 2026, up from 18.2% in January. The Consumer Expectations Index increased (26.3% versus 23.8%), reflecting a stronger sentiment, over the next 12 months, of the general economic outlook (18.3% versus 13.8%) and expectations for the national economy (21.3% versus 17.6%), while optimism about future household conditions worsened slightly (39.3% versus 40.2%). However, this increase was partially offset by a drop in the Economic Conditions Index (6.3% versus 9.7%), with decreases in the assessments of current household finances (9.7% versus 13.3%) and decreases in the willingness to purchase a home (-24.4% versus -22%), durable goods (2.9% versus 6.1%) and vehicles (25.9% versus 32%). Compared to February 2025, overall consumer confidence increased by 30.3 percentage points, up from -12%.

Colombia Consumer Confidence Dips in January
Colombia’s Consumer Confidence Index fell to 18.2% in January 2026 from 19.1% in December. The decline was driven by a 7.2 percentage point drop in the Economic Conditions Index to 9.7%, reflecting weaker assessments of current household finances (13.3% vs 18.1%) and lower willingness to purchase durable goods (6.1% vs 14.9%). This was partly offset by a 1.9 percentage point rise in the Consumer Expectations Index to 23.8%. Expectations for the national economy improved (17.6% vs 14.2%), as did the general economic outlook (13.8% vs 5.5%), while optimism about future household conditions eased (40.2% vs 46.0%).

Colombia Consumer Sentiment Surges to 11-Year High
Colombia’s Consumer Confidence Index rose to 19.9% in December 2025, from 17.0% in November to the higest level in eleven years. The Economic Conditions Index rose by 5.0 percentage points to 16.9%, supported by a marked improvement in assessments of current household finances (18.8% vs 11.4%) and stronger willingness to purchase durable goods (14.9% vs 12.5%). Meanwhile, the Consumer Expectations Index increased by 1.5 points to 21.9%, reflecting greater optimism about future household conditions (46.0%), expectations for the national economy (14.2% vs 13.2%), and the general economic outlook (5.5% vs 10.0%). Compared with December last year, overall consumer confidence climbed by 23.3 percentage points.
