Industrial Confidence in Colombia Recovers Slightly in December

Colombia’s industrial confidence indicator stood at -0.7% in December 2025, rising 3.6 percentage points from the previous month.

The monthly improvement was driven by a 13.7 pp increase in production expectations for the next quarter and a 5.0 pp decline in inventories, partly offset by a 7.6 pp drop in the current volume of orders.

On a year-on-year basis, industrial confidence fell by 0.5 pp compared with December 2024.

Colombia’s industrial confidence indicator declined in March 2026, falling by 3.2 percentage points from the previous month. The drop was mainly driven by an 8.5-point decrease in production expectations for the next quarter and a 4.8-point rise in inventory levels, partly offset by a 3.9-point increase in the current volume of orders. On an annual basis, the indicator fell by 4.4 percentage points.

Colombia's industrial confidence indicator rose to 0.9% in February 2026, up 2.4 percentage points from January. The monthly improvement was driven by a 4.7 pps decline in inventory levels to -7.4% and a 3.4 pps rise in current order volumes to -28.6%, partially offset by a 1.0 pps drop in production expectations for the next quarter to 23.9%. Year-over-year, the 0.2% confidence gain was primarily due to a 7.4 pps decline in inventory levels.
