Chile Retail Sales Rise Faster

Retail sales in Chile surged 6.8% year-on-year in August 2024, following an upwardly revised 2.8% increase in July, and continuing the upward trend seen since January.

Sales increased mostly for clothing, footwear and accessories (15.5%), food (5%) and consumer goods (8.8%).

Compared to the previous month, retail sales rose 0.8%.
