Argentina Industrial Output Rebounds in June

Argentina’s industrial production grew by 2% year-on-year in June 2026, recovering from a downwardly revised 5.6% drop in the previous month.
Ten of the 16 manufacturing sectors posted annual increases.
The strongest gains came from basic metals (11.8%), chemicals and chemical products (11.0%), other transport equipment (7.2%), food and beverages (6.2%), wood, paper and printing (8.4%), metal products (3.6%), petroleum refining (3.4%), furniture and other manufacturing (3.4%), and tobacco products (0.4%).
Meanwhile, output declined in other equipment, appliances and instruments (-25.3%), machinery and equipment (-16.8%), textiles (-15.9%), apparel, leather and footwear (-8.4%), non-metallic mineral products (-7.2%), motor vehicles and auto parts (-3.5%), and rubber and plastic products (-2.9%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose 0.9%, accelerating from an downwardly revised 0.3% gain in May.
