In Ukraine, the Gfk Consumer Confidence Index survey is made by phone and covers over 1,000 individuals aged 15–59. The questions focus on current economic and financial situation, savings intention as well as on expected developments regarding: consumer price indexes, general and personal financial situation and major purchases of domestic appliances. The share of negative answers is deducted from the share of positive answers and 100 is added to the difference. The Index values range from 0 to 200; it equals 200 when all respondents positively assess the economic situation, 100 when the shares of positive and negative assessments are equal and less than 100 when there is a prevalence of negative respondents.
