Spain Jobless Rate Lowest since Q2 2008

Spain's unemployment rate fell to 11.21% in the third quarter of 2024, the lowest since Q2 2008 and mostly in line with market expectations.
The number of unemployed people decreased by 1.2 thousand from the previous three-month period to 2.754,1 million, while the number of employed individuals went up by 138.3 thousand to 21.823 million.
Furthermore, the labor force participation rate increased to 59.04% during the third quarter from 58.9% in the previous period.
