Slovenia Industrial Production Growth Accelerates in August

Industrial production in Slovenia rose 4.8% year-on-year in August 2026, accelerating from 2% in the previous month.
Manufacturing output increased 5.3%, following a 4.5% rise in July, and activity in utilities’ supply reversed, rising 8.8% after a 13.9% decline.
On the other hand, mining output plunged 31.5%, extending the 29.4% fall in July.
By product types, investment products rose 16.4%, accelerating from a 15.7% increase, while consumer product output slowed (2.2% vs 3.9%), as an 8.7% drop in durable goods (vs a 4.3% gain) offset a stronger rise in non-durable goods (9.2% vs 3.4%).
Energy products rebounded (4.6% vs -16.5%) and raw material output edged up 0.7% (vs -1.4%).
On a monthly basis, industrial production rose 1.6%, following a 1.4% gain in the prior month.
In the first eight months of 2026, industrial production rose 0.9% from a year earlier.
