Slovenia Industrial Output Drops Sharply

Industrial production in Slovenia fell 4.1% year-on-year in December 2025, worsening from a 1.8% decline in November and marking the steepest drop since June.
Activity went down sharply for manufacturing, declining 4.5% after a 1.5% fall in the previous month, while output in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply also remained in negative territory, though the pace of decline eased (-1.4% vs -6.9%).
At the same time, growth in mining and quarrying slowed to 2.5% from 9.2%.
By industrial grouping, output fell for intermediate goods (-1.7%), capital goods (-2.5%), and consumer goods (-9.8%).
On a monthly basis, industrial activity dropped 1.4%, deepening from a 0.4% decline in November.
For the whole of 2025, industrial production was 1.8% lower than in the previous year.
