The consumer confidence indicator in Slovenia increased by 1 percentage point month-over-month to -19 in July 2026 from -20 in June, marking the highest reading since July 2021.
The improvement was mainly driven by less pessimistic assessments of current and future major purchases (-20 vs -25 and -28 vs -32, respectively), households' financial situation over the past 12 months (-15 vs -17), and savings prospects over the next 12 months (-13 vs -17).
Assessments of the general economic situation over the past year also improved marginally (-38 vs -39).
However, expectations for the general economic situation over the next 12 months deteriorated (-25 vs -20), while households' financial outlook remained unchanged (-10 vs -10).
Meanwhile, inflation expectations over the next twelve months were unchanged (47), and unemployment expectations eased slightly (24 vs 25).
