Slovenia Consumer Morale Improves in May

The consumer confidence indicator in Slovenia increased by 4 percentage points month-on-month to -28 in May 2026, improving from a thirty-month low of -32 in the previous month.
Households expressed less pessimism about their expectations for the general economic outlook over the next twelve months (-35 vs -47 in April), alongside their personal financial outlook over the same period (-20 vs -27).
Assessments also improved regarding households’ financial situation over the year (-20 vs -22), while views on the general economic situation over the same period remained unchanged (-43).
On the other hand, expectations for major purchases over the next twelve months deteriorated slightly (-35 vs -34), as did assessments of major purchases at present (-31 vs -30).
