The consumer confidence indicator in Slovenia remained at -22 in March 2026, unchanged from the previous month.

Households expressed slightly more pessimism about the general economic outlook over the next year (-27 vs -26 in February) and their personal financial outlook over the next twelve months (-13 vs -12).

Expectations for major purchases continued to deteriorate (-32 vs -31).

On a brighter note, households expressed slightly less concern about unemployment over the year ahead (24 vs 25).

Assessment of price movements over the past twelve months remained unchanged at 68, while price expectations for the year ahead rose sharply to 63 from 52 in February.

Households expressed greater pessimism about their personal financial outlook over the next twelve months (-12 vs -9 in January). Moreover, expectations for major purchases (-31 vs -29) deteriorated, and concerns over the unemployment rate (25 vs 22) intensified. On a more positive note, households were slightly less negative about the general economic outlook over the next year, with the indicator improving to -26 from -28. Assessment of price movements over the past twelve months eased marginally (68 vs 70), while expectations for the year ahead edged higher (52 vs 50).

The consumer confidence indicator in Slovenia rose 3 percentage points from a month earlier to -21 in January 2026, marking the highest level since February 2022. Households were less pessimistic about the 12-month outlook for the general economy (-28 vs -33 in December), their own financial situation (-9 vs -15), and savings (-13 vs -20). Expectations were also less negative for major purchases in the year ahead (-29 vs -30 in December). However, concerns intensified regarding future unemployment (22 vs 19) and the price trend (50 vs 49).
