Slovenia Consumer Morale Slightly Worsens

The consumer confidence indicator in Slovenia edged lower by 1 percentage point month-on-month to -22 in February 2026, from a near four-year high of -21 in the previous month.
Households expressed greater pessimism about their personal financial outlook over the next twelve months (-12 vs -9 in January).
Moreover, expectations for major purchases (-31 vs -29) deteriorated, and concerns over the unemployment rate (25 vs 22) intensified.
On a more positive note, households were slightly less negative about the general economic outlook over the next year, with the indicator improving to -26 from -28.
Assessment of price movements over the past twelve months eased marginally (68 vs 70), while expectations for the year ahead edged higher (52 vs 50).
