Slovenia’s trade deficit narrowed significantly to EUR 424.6 million in October 2025, from EUR 3,175.8 million in the corresponding month of the previous year.
Exports rose by 0.8% year-on-year to EUR 5,891.3 million, due to higher sales to both EU (1.3%) and non-EU (0.3%) countries.
In contrast, imports fell sharply by 30% to EUR 6,315.9 million, largely due to a steep decline in purchases from non-EU countries (-45.4%), while imports from EU countries increased (3.4%).
Considering January to October, the country posted a surplus of EUR 2,060.7 million, a significant shift from a trade deficit of EUR 6,421 million in the corresponding period last year.
