Slovenia’s trade deficit narrowed sharply to EUR 210.7 million in December 2025 from EUR 891.3 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Exports climbed 13.3% year-on-year to EUR 5,363.4 million, due to higher sales to both the EU (1.5%) and non-EU countries (23.7%).
On the other hand, imports fell by 0.9% to EUR 5,574 million, largely driven by a drop in purchases from non-EU countries (-3%), while arrivals increased from the EU (1.6%).
Considering the entire year, the country posted a surplus of EUR 1,488.4 million, reversing a trade deficit of EUR 7,701.7 million recorded in the same period last year.
