Slovakia Industrial Output Near 3-Year Low

Industrial production in Slovakia fell by 6.3% year-on-year in August 2025, missing market expectations of a 3.1% decline and following a 4.6% drop in the previous month.
This marked the steepest contraction in industrial activity since December 2022, as output weakened further in the manufacturing sector (-4.9% vs -2.7% in July).
Meanwhile, production fell at a slower pace in mining and quarrying (-11% vs -14.4%) and in electricity, gas, and air-conditioning (-17.4% vs -17.6%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity rose 0.1% in August.
