Slovakia’s construction output increased by 0.9% year-on-year in November 2024, rebounding from a 4.4% decline in the previous month.
This marks the first growth in the past seven months, driven by a sharp rise in construction abroad (18.7% vs 7.4% in October).
At the same time, domestic production fell at a slower pace (-0.7% vs -5.8%), due to smaller declines in new construction (-2.3% vs -6.6%), repairs & maintenance (-2.5% vs -5.9%), and engineering construction (-11% vs -11.5%), while construction of buildings recovered (7.6% vs -2.4%).
On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, construction output was 5.4% higher.
