Romania Producer Inflation Rises the Most in Over 2 Years

Annual producer inflation in Romania rose 8% year-on-year in October 2025, following a downwardly revised 6.06% growth in the previous month.
This marked the largest increase since May 2023, as price growth climbed sharply for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (20.54% vs 13.06% in September) and water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (11.48% vs 10.21%).
At the same time, costs recovered for mining and quarrying (3.41% vs -2.22%).
Meanwhile, prices for manufacturing slowed (3.62% vs 3.80%).
On a monthly basis, producer prices grew by 0.99% in October from 0.87% in the preceding period.
