Romania Current Account Deficit Widens

Romania's current account deficit widened to EUR 2,465 million in November 2025, from EUR 2,416 million in the same month of the previous year.
The primary income deficit increased to EUR 705 million from EUR 513 million in November 2024, while the secondary income shortfall widened to EUR 170 million from EUR 102 million.
In addition, the services account surplus narrowed significantly to EUR 762 million, compared with EUR 1,079 million a year earlier.
On the other hand, the goods account deficit narrowed to EUR 1,591 million in November 2025, from EUR 1,802 million a year earlier.
Considering the first eleven months of the year, Romania’s current account deficit widened to EUR 27,140 million, compared with EUR 26,059 million in the same period of the previous year.
