Poland Corporate Wage Growth at Over 4-Year Low

Poland’s corporate sector rose by 6.6% year-on-year to PLN 8,865.12 in October 2025, easing from a 7.5% gain in September and falling short of market expectations of 7.3%.

This marked the smallest annual growth since February 2021.

Compared to the previous month, the average gross salary grew by 1.3%, mainly due to a larger scale of additional payments, including awards and bonuses, such as quarterly and incentive awards and bonuses, and service anniversary awards, as well as retirement severance pay.

On a year-to-date basis, corporate sector wages advanced by 8.1%.

Poland's corporate sector wages rose 8.6% year-on-year to PLN 9,583.31 in December 2025, accelerating from a 7.1% increase in the previous month and surpassing market expectations of a 6.9% rise. This marked the highest annual wage growth since June. On a monthly basis, the average gross salary grew 5.6%, largely driven by higher additional payments, including awards, bonuses, and seasonal payouts such as annual, quarterly, incentive, service anniversary, Christmas, and Miner's Day bonuses. For the full year 2025, corporate sector wages have increased by 8.1%.

Poland's corporate sector wages rose 7.1% year-on-year to PLN 9,078.16 in November 2025, accelerating from a more than four-year low of 6.6% in the previous month and surpassing market expectations of a 6.2% increase. On a monthly basis, the average gross salary grew 2.4%, largely driven by higher additional payments, including awards, bonuses, and seasonal payouts such as annual, Christmas, and Miner's Day bonuses. Year-to-date, corporate sector wages have increased by 7.9%.
