The annual inflation rate in Moldova rose to 6.5% in June 2026, easing from a 6.8% increase in each of the previous two months.
Price growth moderated in non-food products (6.5% vs 7.2% in May), as fuel and motor fuel inflation eased, although prices continued to rise strongly.
At the same time, inflation in services edged down (7.4% vs 7.5%), reflecting slower increases in passenger transport, regulated electricity tariffs, rent, education, and public catering services.
Meanwhile, inflation for food products remained unchanged at 5.7%, as lower prices for sugar partly offset continued increases in eggs, vegetables, bread, dairy products, fruit, meat products, and vegetable oil.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.1% in June, reversing a 0.4% increase in the previous month.
