Industrial production in Moldova advanced 10.6% year-on-year in April 2026, easing from a downwardly revised 12.2% increase in the previous month.

The slowdown is driven by a weaker growth in the mining industry (8.5% vs. 12.6% in March) and manufacturing industry (13.4% vs. 16.4%), particularly in the production of food products, textiles, paper and paper products, pharmaceutical products, and furniture.

However, stronger growth in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (36.0% vs. 9.5% in March) helped cushion the slowdown.

On a monthly basis, industrial output eased 11.5%, following a 19.1% rise in March.
