Lithuania Producer Inflation at 3-Month Low

Producer prices in Lithuania increased 9.6% year-on-year in June 2026, easing from a revised 12.9% in the previous month and marking the lowest reading since March.

Price growth slowed for manufacturing (9.1% vs. 13.4% in May), mainly due to a softer increase in coke and refined petroleum products (41.6% vs. 70.7%).

Costs also moderated for mining and quarrying (2.1% vs. 6.1%).

Meanwhile, inflation accelerated for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (15.8% vs. 7.9%), as well as for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (4.0% vs. 3.3%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices declined 2.4% in June, following a 1.1% drop in the previous month, marking the second consecutive monthly decrease after four straight months of increases.

Producer prices in Lithuania rose 12.8% year-on-year in May 2026, slowing from a downwardly revised over three-year high of 13.1% in the previous month. This marked the third consecutive month of producer price increases, albeit at a softer pace. Price growth moderated in manufacturing (13.2% vs 13.7% in April), particularly in coke and refined petroleum products, which eased to 73.2% after a 77.0% surge. Additionally, inflation slowed in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (3.3% vs 5.1%). Meanwhile, prices accelerated in mining and quarrying (5.5% vs 0.9%) and electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (8.0% vs 4.1%). On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.8%, reversing a 2.5% increase in the previous period.

Lithuania Producer Prices Rise Most Since 2023
Producer prices in Lithuania climbed 13.6% year-on-year in April 2026, following an upwardly revised 8% jump in the previous month. This marked the strongest growth in producer prices since February 2023, lifted by higher costs in the manufacturing sector (14.3% vs 8.2% in March), particularly in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (80.4% vs 49.2%). At the same time, prices increased in mining and quarrying (0.9% vs 0.5%) and water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (5.1% vs 2.3%). In contrast, producer inflation slowed in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (4.1% vs 7.8%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 3% in April, easing from an upwardly revised 9.6% growth in the preceding period.
