Lithuania Producer Inflation Picks Up in July

Producer prices in Lithuania increased 11.5% year-on-year in July 2026, accelerating from 9.6% in the previous month and marking the fifth consecutive annual increase. Price growth picked up in manufacturing (11.0% vs 8.9% in June), mainly driven by a faster increase in coke and refined petroleum products (50.1% vs. 41.0%). Inflation also accelerated for mining and quarrying (3.5% vs 2.1%) and water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (5.8% vs 4.1%). Meanwhile, price growth eased slightly for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (16.6% vs 16.9%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 2.1% in July, rebounding from a revised 2.5% decline in June.

Producer prices in Lithuania increased 9.6% year-on-year in June 2026, easing from a revised 12.9% in the previous month and marking the lowest reading since March. Price growth slowed for manufacturing (9.1% vs. 13.4% in May), mainly due to a softer increase in coke and refined petroleum products (41.6% vs. 70.7%). Costs also moderated for mining and quarrying (2.1% vs. 6.1%). Meanwhile, inflation accelerated for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (15.8% vs. 7.9%), as well as for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (4.0% vs. 3.3%). On a monthly basis, producer prices declined 2.4% in June, following a 1.1% drop in the previous month, marking the second consecutive monthly decrease after four straight months of increases.

Producer prices in Lithuania rose 12.8% year-on-year in May 2026, slowing from a downwardly revised over three-year high of 13.1% in the previous month. This marked the third consecutive month of producer price increases, albeit at a softer pace. Price growth moderated in manufacturing (13.2% vs 13.7% in April), particularly in coke and refined petroleum products, which eased to 73.2% after a 77.0% surge. Additionally, inflation slowed in water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (3.3% vs 5.1%). Meanwhile, prices accelerated in mining and quarrying (5.5% vs 0.9%) and electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply (8.0% vs 4.1%). On a monthly basis, producer prices fell 0.8%, reversing a 2.5% increase in the previous period.
