Latvia Producer Prices Rise in March

Producer prices in Latvia rose by 0.8% year-on-year in March 2026, rebounding from a 0.8% drop in the previous month.
Costs increased for water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities (6.4% vs 6.3% in February).
At the same time, deflation eased sharply for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply (-0.5% vs -8.8%).
In contrast, prices decreased for manufacturing (0.2% vs 0.4%), weighed down by slower growth in the manufacture of wearing apparel (1.1% vs 1.5%), wood and wood products (0.1% vs 1.5%), printing and reproduction of recorded media (0.6% vs 5.2%), electrical equipment (0.3% vs 0.5%), and furniture (1.2% vs 1.5%), while costs also decreased for mining and quarrying (16.2% vs 17.6%).
On a monthly basis, producer prices declined by 1.2% in March, reversing a 0.4% gain in the preceding period.
