Latvia Industrial Production Rises in March

Latvia’s industrial production rose 9.5% year-on-year in March 2026, following an upwardly revised 6.4% increase in the previous month.
Manufacturing output rebounded to 4.4% from a 2% decline in February, driven by gains in food products (8.7% vs 3.2%), chemicals and chemical products (15.9% vs 6.5%), and recoveries in wearing apparel (3.2% vs -14.4%), wood and wood products excluding furniture, manufacture of articles of straw and plaiting materials (0.5% vs -4.9%), printing and reproduction of recorded media (1.9% vs -9.5%), and rubber and plastic products (27.7% vs -13.5%).
At the same time, output in electricity, gas, and supply continued to increase (34.6% vs 33.5%), while declines in mining and quarrying eased (-21.5% vs -37.2%).
On a monthly basis, industrial production rebounded to 1.3% in March from a revised 0.6% decline in February.
