Israel Unemployment Rate Edges Up

Israel's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate edged up to 2.9% in June 2026 from 2.8% in the previous month.
The labor force participation rate increased to 61.9% from 61.7%, indicating a modest rise in workforce activity, with the employment rate also rose, to 60.2% from 59.9%.
Meanwhile, the non-seasonally adjusted unemployment rate eased to 2.8% from 2.9%, with a slight decline in the number of unemployed persons to 128 thousand from 128.1 thousand.
Employment also strengthened, with the number of employed persons rising to 4.388 million from 4.381 million.
