Ireland Inflation Steady at 1.6% in July

The EU-standard Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) in Ireland rose 1.6% year-on-year in July 2025, matching the increase in the previous month, according to preliminary estimates.

Food prices rose 4.6% year-on-year, while energy costs declined by 0.3%.

Meanwhile, core HICP — which excludes volatile components such as energy and unprocessed food — eased to 1.7% from 1.9% in June.

On a monthly basis, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.2% in July, easing from 0.5% in June.
