Ireland Harmonised Inflation Rate Confirmed at 1.6%

The EU-standard harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP) in Ireland rose by 1.6% year-on-year in June 2025, up from a 1.4% increase in May, and in line with preliminary estimates.
The biggest price increases were seen for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+4.4%), recreation and culture (+3.5%), alcoholic beverages and tobacco (+3%) and health (+2.6%).
In contrast, there were decreases in cost of clothing and footwear (-2.2%), transport (-2.0%), miscellaneous goods and services (-0.9%) and furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance (-0.6%).
Compared to the previous month, the harmonised CPI increased 0.5%, also matching early estimates.
